Job summary

CCL Label Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Technician to review label orders at press setup and certify products at shipment. The role requires literacy in English, ability to read SOPs and safety rules, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and email tools.

You will ensure conformance to specifications and authorize final product release from the lab. Candidates should have a high school diploma plus two years of college; ASQ CQT is a desirable certification.

II. REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are expected to perform at level equal to a high school plus two years basic college; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Third party training certifications, such as ASQ CQT, is desired.
The QA/QC candidate must be literate in English; he/she must be able to read and interpret documents such as Factory Order instructions, SOP’s and safety rules. The candidate must have the ability to use, read and interpret scientific measurement and inspection tools and devices.
In addition to he/she must be proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and email communication programs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: sit and stand for extended periods of time; to walk, to use hands, handle orders, tools and objects; to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus; visual acuity correctable to Snellen 20/20 is required.
III. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The QA/QC Technician is responsible for proofreading all label orders and monitoring the overall manufacturing process for conformance to requirements. The Technician performs tests on product as required and maintains laboratory test equipment. The Technician is responsible for containment of any material found non-conforming to specification and/or individual customer/supplier requirements. QA/QC authorizes final release of product.
