Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking an experienced quality/Manufacturing Engineer to verify supplier compliance and improve quality systems. The role involves reviewing contracts, specifications and plans, and facilitating audits to ensure conformance with requirements.

You will collaborate on NOE and 8D processes, develop control plans and monitor progress, with travel up to 30%. A strong background in APQP, Lean Six Sigma and GD&T is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in manufacturing and operations or quality/manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify supplier compliance with purchase contracts, customer specs, and regulations across manufacturing, quality systems, special processes, and product standards.
• Review supplier contracts, specs, drawings and manufacturing plans to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Facilitate audits, surveys, and inspections to uphold compliance and represent the company.
• Ensure suppliers establish and maintain approved Quality Systems per standards.
• Collaborate on NOE and 8D processes, developing Control Plans and monitoring progress.
