Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Staunton, VA seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to plan, coordinate and direct quality assurance programs ensuring products meet established standards. This role will drive continuous improvement of quality practices in a manufacturing environment.

You will lead cross‑functional teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and mentor the Final Inspection staff to deliver an unrivaled customer experience while aligning with the broader QMS across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply SPC methods to analyze data and evaluate processes.
• Participate on plant internal audit team to identify QA improvements.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve quality and customer experience.
• Review internal and external non-conformance data, identify trends, and assign improvement projects.
• Review Final Inspection non-conformance data to develop trends for Root Cause Council input.
• Use external non-conformance data to improve chiller final inspection to prevent high-frequency escapes.
• Develop new approaches to problems identified during QA activities.
• Train, mentor, and lead Final Inspection team.
• Collaborate with other sites to standardize QMS and problem-solving activities.
• Assist Quality Manager with warranty issues and customer complaints.

Education
