Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a QA Supervisor (Days) to oversee blending, lab testing, and quality systems at our facility. The role emphasizes microbiological testing, audit of sanitation, and ensuring adherence to GMPs while driving continuous improvement.

Strong leadership and root-cause analysis are essential. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day QA activities, report results, and collaborate with the QA Manager to uphold food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Biological Sciences, Engineering or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing QA, GMP, and lab testing is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee blending of raw materials to product mineral batches and maintain mineral inventory.
  • Oversee laboratory duties including microbiological testing of finished product and environmental monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and conduct root-cause investigations for non-conformances.
  • Lead safety team activities and enforce safety requirements.
  • Serve as backup to QA Manager for food safety and quality tasks.

QA Supervisor (Days)

Essential Functions
  • Oversees blending of raw materials to product mineral batches according to company standards and to meet production demand; maintains mineral inventory.

  • Oversees laboratory duties to include microbiological testing of finished product and environmental monitoring.

  • Oversees stocking, rotating and maintenance of lab supplies and equipment. Completes daily paperwork and report results to Supervisor.

  • Oversees performance of internal audits of plant sanitation, GMP’s and machine operation functions and reports results to Supervisor.

  • Ensures that all quality systems are being adhered to and maintained at all times.

  • Responsible to performing root cause/corrective action investigations for non-conformances.

  • Oversees safety team activities. Monitors and enforces safety requirements.

  • Builds a positive work environment.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Serves as a backup to the QA Manager in tasks relating to food safety and food quality within the facility when the QA Manager is out.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
