Job summary

American Society for Quality in Missouri is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our quality team and strengthen processes. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, data-driven improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Engineering.

The ideal candidate will drive the Quality Management System, establish objectives and metrics, and guide investigations into customer complaints and nonconformities to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a technical, engineering, quality-related field or equivalent.
  • 35 years of quality assurance, quality systems, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, from production associates to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and take ownership of results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Assurance function and ensure products meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish quality objectives, metrics, procedures, and improvement plans that support business goals.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement through data analysis, audits, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams on root cause analysis, Six Sigma, problem solving, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead investigations of customer complaints, nonconformances, and quality issues.
  • Drive timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, and other functions to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Support new product development, engineering changes, manufacturing processes, and training initiatives to ensure quality requirements are met.

Altor is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our quality team and help drive a culture where quality is built into every product and process. What You'll Do: Lead Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead the Quality Assurance function and ensure products consistently meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

Drive Problem Solving & Customer Satisfaction
  • Lead investigations of customer complaints, nonconformances, and quality issues.
  • Drive timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, and other functions to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Support new product development, engineering changes, manufacturing processes, and training initiatives to ensure quality requirements are met.
Own Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance plans, procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Plan and conduct internal and supplier quality audits.
  • Support external and customer audits and ensure appropriate corrective actions are completed.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards, including ISO 9001, CMMI, and FDA requirements, as applicable to the business.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, metrics, and documentation.
Develop & Lead People
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop Quality Team members.
  • Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing, work assignments, performance management, training, and employee development.
  • Build strong working relationships throughout the organization and foster a culture of quality and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a technical, engineering, quality-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of quality assurance, quality systems, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, from production associates to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and take ownership of results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Quality certification such as CQE, CQA, or CQMOE.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, CMMI, FDA, or other applicable quality/regulatory standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, statistical analysis, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
