Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Quality Assurance Superintendent to lead FSQA programs and manage product safety and quality in the plant.

You will supervise QA staff, implement HACCP/SSOP, coordinate training, and partner with USDA and site teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely issue resolution. The role supports audits and customer programs while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or similar field; or three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Certifications: GFSI (BRC specifically) training preferred.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience required, preferably in poultry processing or slaughter operations. Must have an understanding of USDA and OSHA regulations.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus. Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal. Quick learner of customer quality programs and adaptable to change. Solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

Quality Assurance Superintendent

The Quality Assurance Superintendent position is responsible for supervision of Food Safety and Quality (FSQA) personnel and quality programs, including the planning and implementation of the quality management program. This position is responsible for product specification testing, food safety systems, and quality programs within the plant.
