Job summary

True North Recovery is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee billing and documentation compliance across mandates, rules, and state laws. You will train and provide feedback to service staff and work with supervisors to ensure accuracy of client records and services.

The role requires strong computer skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, with preferred lived recovery experience.

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing and publishing programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good vocabulary, spelling, and proofreading skills.
• Strong research skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure content compliance of documentation in the SUD client record.
• Ensure medical necessity is documented per policy and state procedures.
• Answer telephone inquiries or route to appropriate staff; return messages.
• Data entry of intake packets into the EHR.
• Acquire service authorization through Medicaid site and enter in EHR.
• Create physical and electronic records for all clients.
• Maintain inactive files and shredding of unnecessary documents.
• Assist program staff with proofreading, data entry, and clerical tasks.
• Operate standard office equipment; maintain confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
