Job summary

IA Construction Corporation is seeking Laboratory and Field Technicians to perform QA/QC duties at an aggregate or asphalt plant lab and/or collect samples on construction sites for testing.

Responsibilities include promoting safety, operating equipment safely, conducting QA/QC tests on bituminous asphalt and aggregates, and maintaining accurate records. Flexible field and lab work with periodic site travel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and safety culture.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Participate in pre-shift safety huddles.
• Report incidents to supervisor or management.
• Communicate openly with team to boost productivity.
• Report safety hazards to management or safety officer.
• QA/QC testing of bituminous asphalt, asphalt content and gradation.
• Test aggregate materials, sampling, absorption, LA Abrasion, specs, voids, and loss.
• Inventory products, QC sampling, scheduling, testing, gradations, and crush gravity.
• Bituminous mix design development per PA design processes for HMC/WMA.
