Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years QA/QC, field engineering, commissioning, electrical, mechanical, or construction quality experience.
• Experience on mission critical, data center, healthcare, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power, or other highly technical projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction quality processes, inspections, testing procedures, and documentation control.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes, system turnover, startup activities, and project closeout requirements.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical submittals.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and their installation requirements.
• Experience managing NCRs, punch lists, deficiency logs, and corrective action tracking.
• Knowledge of building codes, NFPA standards, NEC requirements, and industry quality standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction CM software.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and execution of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Perform and coordinate field inspections of installed work (MEP, electrical, controls, life safety).
• Verify installations meet contract documents, specs, submittals, and manufacturer requirements.
• Manage quality documentation: inspection reports, turnover packages, test reports, NCRs, deficiency logs.
• Support commissioning readiness activities to ensure equipment/systems meet quality requirements before energization and turnover.
• Track punch lists, deficiencies, NCRs, and corrective actions through closeout.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Superintendents, CxA, subcontractors, and client quality reps to resolve issues.
• Participate in quality walks, pre-functional inspections, turnover reviews, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records for owner, third-party, and commissioning reviews.
• Assist root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deficiencies and recurring issues.
• Utilize Procore, ACC, BIM 360, PlanGrid, or similar platforms to maintain quality documentation and reporting.
• Support turnover package development and ensure documentation requirements are satisfied for client handover.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Coordinator to support quality assurance and quality control activities on large-scale mission critical and data center construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), structural, and life safety systems are installed, inspected, tested, documented, and turned over in accordance with project specifications, client quality standards, commissioning requirements, and industry best practices.

The QA/QC Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting commissioning readiness, managing inspection and test documentation, tracking deficiencies and punch items, and maintaining quality records throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience working on data center, mission critical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, power generation, or other highly regulated construction projects where quality, reliability, and uptime are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and execution of the project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
• Perform and coordinate field inspections of installed work, focusing on mechanical, electrical, controls, fire protection, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Verify installations comply with contract documents, project specifications, approved submittals, shop drawings, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
• Manage quality documentation, including inspection reports, turnover packages, material certifications, test reports, redline drawings, NCRs, and deficiency logs.
• Support commissioning readiness activities by ensuring equipment and systems meet quality requirements prior to energization, startup, testing, and turnover.
• Track and maintain punch lists, deficiencies, NCRs, and corrective actions through successful closeout.
• Coordinate closely with Project Management, Superintendents, Commissioning Agents (CxA), subcontractors, and client quality representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in quality walks, pre-functional inspections, system turnover reviews, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor installation quality for critical systems including:
• Medium and low-voltage electrical systems
• UPS systems
• Generators
• Switchgear and distribution equipment
• Mechanical cooling systems
• Controls and BMS integrations
• Fire alarm and life safety systems
• Maintain audit-ready quality records to support owner, third-party, and commissioning reviews.
• Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for quality deficiencies and recurring installation issues.
• Utilize project software platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, PlanGrid, Zenator, or similar systems to maintain quality documentation and reporting.
• Support turnover package development and ensure all documentation requirements are satisfied for client handover.

Requirements
