Qualifications

Position Summary

This position monitors the entire process of prestressed/precast products manufactured or processed by Concrete Industries and other NEBCO companies to ensure compliance with contract specifications. The role involves adhering to the Company Safety Program and Policies, performing duties safely, and maintaining consistent and reliable attendance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Monitor the entire process of prestressed/precast production, including:
  • Pre-pour: inspecting forms for dimensional tolerances, monitoring stressing of cable for accuracy of jack pressure and elongation, ensuring all accessories are accurately placed and secured, and verifying proper concrete mix has been ordered.
  • Pour in process: visually checking each batch of concrete for batching errors, making test cylinders, performing fresh concrete tests, and monitoring placement accuracy.
  • Post Pour: ensuring concrete cylinders achieve specified strength before forms are stripped, performing final inspections, measuring dimensions, and verifying proper product identification. Report variances from prints that are out of tolerance.
  • Test materials used in manufacturing and products produced by NEBCO companies.
  • Perform maintenance and cleanup of lab facilities and equipment as directed.
  • Examine company records for product size, weight, and test results.
  • Inspect products for compliance with order specifications and quality control standards.
  • Submit samples for laboratory testing as per procedures.
  • Education and Experience

    High School Diploma or GED; and one year experience in a related construction field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Some college with drafting emphasis is preferred.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
    • Valid NE Driver’s license.
    • ACI Level I certification preferred; PCI certifications up to Level II preferred or obtainable within one year of employment.

    • Flexibility to work irregular hours during busy seasons.
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
