Job summary

JPMorganChase in Tampa seeks a Software Engineer II within the Payments Technology Group. You will join an agile team delivering secure, scalable software components and helping maintain production systems.

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with Operations, Product, and Technology to ensure a seamless user experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of applied testing experience.
• 2+ years of Manual and Automation testing.
• Knowledge of large-scale technology environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Experience with Agile project delivery.
• Experience defining requirements, writing user stories and test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate testing estimates during daily scrum calls.
• Document and execute test scenarios with BDd and scripts.
• Utilize Selenium/Cucumber for end-to-end testing.
• Partner with Operations, Product, and Technology groups.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate testing processes and share findings.
• Monitor and report defects and manage re-testing.
• Validate and present test results for internal sign-off.

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Payments Technology Group, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escape, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

• Provide accurate testing estimates during daily scrum calls.
• Document and execute test scenarios by identifying specific scenarios and writing test scripts using Business Driven Development.
• Utilize test automation tools (Selenium/Cucumber) for efficient and timely end-to-end test execution, requiring previous experience in automated testing.
• Partner closely with Operations, Product, and Technology groups.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate and synergize testing processes for assigned projects and share information with team members for validation before implementation.
• Monitor and report testing defects and manage the re-testing process.
• Validate and present test results for internal sign-off.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• 2+ years of experience with Manual/Automation testing
• Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
• Experience in Agile project delivery
• Experience defining requirements, document user stories, and execute test scripts with a strong understanding of testing processes.
• Experience managing multiple projects and personnel to meet stakeholder expectations, while building and nurturing relationships across business lines and locations.
• Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
• Experience with processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
• Experience with functional and regression testing within the Financial Services industry.
• Working understanding of public cloud
