In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex, technical Ecommerce website and application development projects, such as website migrations, system integrations, and optimizations for large and medium-sized US Enterprise merchants, distributors, and brands. This position requires a candidate with a proven track record in a professional services or agency environment, particularly in managing projects that involve significant technical requirements and cross-functional collaboration. While formal credentials (e.g., Agile/Scrum certifications) are a plus, your adaptability, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage distributed teams within our proprietary adaptive delivery methodology are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end technical Ecommerce projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines, particularly in high-stakes environments.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define goals, and outline deliverables for complex technical solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed task lists, resource allocation, and realistic timelines.
  • Produce and maintain key project documentation (charters, schedules, risk mitigation plans, status reports) aligned with our adaptive SDLC model.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration among development teams to ensure smooth execution of deliverables, covering areas like system design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, address issues, and mitigate risks proactively to achieve project milestones.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and any changes.
  • Foster effective communication within distributed teams, ensuring all members understand project goals, roles, and expectations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, incorporating insights and lessons learned into future project approaches.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Ecommerce best practices to enhance project delivery and add value to client engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven background in managing high-complexity Ecommerce technology projects, including platform implementations, migrations, system integrations, and website optimizations.
  • Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager within a Digital Commerce Agency, Systems Integrator, or similar professional services environment.
  • Strong familiarity with leading Ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce SFCC, Adobe Magento) and headless/composable web applications.
  • Strong practical understanding of modern web technologies, composable web application concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of adaptive / Agile project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Proficient in project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage cross-functional distributed teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex project challenges and deliver solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Business English fluency, native or C2 proficiency level.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree and/or formal Project Management certification is a plus.
