A leading tech company in Houston, Texas is seeking a QA Lead to develop and own the QA strategy for Project Midas. The role involves establishing QA processes for both manual and automated testing, managing a growing QA team, and fostering a culture of quality across the project. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in large-scale enterprise projects, expertise in automation testing frameworks like Selenium, and a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines. This role is critical in ensuring product quality and compliance with standards.

• Expertise in QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, and tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for all releases.
• Manage defect triage and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide assurance on compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the QA strategy aligned with Project Midas objectives.
• Establish QA processes, standards, and governance for manual and automated testing.
• Define KPIs and quality metrics to measure success.
• Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Drive implementation of automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of automation solutions.
• Build and scale the QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the project.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed QA early in the lifecycle.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for all releases.
• Manage defect triage and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide assurance on compliance with internal and external standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as QA Lead or similar role in large-scale enterprise projects.
• Expertise in QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JMeter).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
