Job summary

The position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and involves sampling coordination, calibration management, lab instruction updates, cross‑functional teamwork, and participation in product trials to improve food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in food science, microbiology, or a related food industry discipline.
• Several years of experience in a quality or lab role within the food or dairy industry preferred.
• Strong background in microbiology, analytical methods, and food technology.
• Leadership potential and ability to guide lab operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across departments and with a diverse, multilingual workforce.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Adaptability to dynamic environments and operational changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sampling activities in alignment with the production schedule.
• Manage monitoring, calibration, and verification plans.
• Organize and schedule retesting, water sampling, reference tests, chemical titration, and laboratory cleaning.
• Maintain and update laboratory work instructions.
• Act as a departmental representative on cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise regularly with the QA Manager and interdepartmental staff.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Perform microbiological, chemical and physical testing on materials and products.
• Conduct organoleptic evaluation of finished products.
• Propose and implement corrective actions to improve food safety and quality.
