Job summary

Universal Corporation in Grandview, WA is seeking a Lab Technician to perform QA/QC tests across production, including reading microbiological results, calibration, and sanitation verification in the plant.

You will operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, prepare certificates of analysis, and maintain clean, organized lab spaces while supporting in-process testing and data entry during 12-hour shifts on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in the ingredient, beverage, or food processing industry.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of lab equipment and proper technique in running them.
• Ability to multi-task and handle several priorities at one time.
• Proficient Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Testing includes process testing, final products, bulk storage tanks, and incoming products.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment including HPLC.
• Prepare and send Certificate of Analysis for shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and freezers.
