Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center is seeking a qualified QA professional to support our food safety and quality programs at the Irving, TX plant. The role focuses on conducting product tests, audits and calibrations to uphold our high standards while adhering to the SQF 2000 Systems.

You will contribute to continuous improvement and safety in operations. Responsibilities include safety observations, maintaining clean work areas, and complying with all programs and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of two years of quality assurance lab experience.
• Knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform required product tests, audits and calibrations to ensure food safety and quality.
• Complete safety observations as assigned.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
• Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
