Position Summary The Parker Hannifin AUTOCLAVE facility in Erie, Pa is seeking an experienced QA Inspector. This role ensures incoming materials and parts, as well as outgoing products, meet Parker’s established quality standards and engineering specifications. The QA Inspector verifies parts using measurement tools and technical drawings, monitors supplier quality, supports internal manufacturing, manages gages, and aids with customer claims and internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality and Incoming Inspection: Conduct physical inspection of parts received from suppliers, verifying dimensions against part drawings using manual gages.
• Internal Production Quality: Perform routine inspections on the production floor to confirm manufacturing processes yield parts that meet internal and customer standards.
• Gage Management: Monitor and maintain the facility’s measurement tools, ensuring all gages are calibrated and documented.
• Customer Claim Support: Assist in documenting and tracking customer claims.
• Data Entry: Use basic computer skills to document inspection results, update logs, and maintain quality records; experience with Microsoft Excel and SAP is a plus.
• Audit Assistance: Support internal production and safety audits.
• Other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret part drawings and technical specifications; proficiency with manual measurement gages such as calipers and micrometers.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers and ability to learn data entry software.
• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment is preferred, but not required for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude.
