Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET to join a contract-based role focused on building scalable QA systems with CI/CD integration. The position emphasizes AI-driven test-script generation, cloud-native Java service testing, and stringent security/compliance validation within Linux and cloud environments.

The candidate will diagnose root causes, collaborate with developers in Agile teams, and support environment readiness from Dev to Ops, including ATO evidence generation.

Qualifications

• Experience with building scalable QA systems and standards.
• CI/CD-integrated automated testing using GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.
• Container and Kubernetes test harnesses across ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Security and compliance testing including SAST/DAST/SCA/IaC scanning.
• Experience in AWS multi-account/VPC patterns and segmentation.
• Linux proficiency and Java-based application environments.
• Strong debugging and collaboration in Agile teams.

Description

Our client seeks Testing and Quality Assurance professionals who develop, implement, and maintain scalable QA systems and standards. The role focuses on CI/CD-integrated automated testing, AI-driven test-script generation, feature testing of cloud-native Java services, and security and compliance validation. The tester must diagnose root causes, collaborate with developers, and operate across Linux-based and cloud environments.

Eligibility

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Public Trust clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Rate

Rate: $50.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Experience Requirements

• Test automation at scale with standards, methods, and QA systems.
• CI/CD-integrated automated testing using tools such as GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.
• Container and Kubernetes test harnesses across Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Security and compliance testing, including SAST/DAST/SCA/IaC scanning and policy-as-code.
• Experience in AWS, including multi-account/VPC patterns and segmentation.
• On-prem to AWS migration experience for containerized workloads and data tiers.
• Familiarity with FISMA High and FedRAMP High practices, STIGs, and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Linux proficiency and experience with Java-based application environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging in cloud and lab environments.
• Effective communication within Scaled Agile teams.
