Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a software engineer to design, build and maintain high-volume mainframe business logic, refactor legacy code, and enable cloud/mobile interaction with core data. You’ll work on performance, debugging, and modernization efforts in a global team.

You should have experience on complex software projects, strong coding skills in Java, Python or .Net, and familiarity with microservices, containers, REST, and data systems. This role offers growth and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Excellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
• Experienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST-based web services.
• Knowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), messaging queues.
• Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Maintain performance by monitoring the architecture and optimizing code for mainframe efficiency.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running.
• Develop for the future by extracting business logic from legacy systems for migration to cloud-based services.
