Job summary

Cross River is seeking a QA Engineer II to join our Lending team. You will develop test cases, build automation, and test services and applications within Cross River’s Lending platform.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in QA and test automation, with proficiency in C# and Python, and experience testing RESTful APIs in a fintech environment. Collaboration and quality are core to our culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA and test automation experience.
• Proficiency in C# and Python.
• At least 1 year with SQL and RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Experience with AI assistive code tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to perform manual and automated testing across Lending applications.
• Contribute to building and maintaining test automation across critical business domains.
• Participate in planning, triage, and prioritization of testing activities.
• Write and execute test cases for functional, regression, and API testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Actively contribute to a collaborative, quality-focused culture within the team.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a QA Engineer II to join our Lending team. You will contribute to developing test cases, building automation, and performing testing on the services and applications that make up Cross River’s Lending platform. The ideal candidate is a collaborative engineer with experience testing reliable, performant, and scalable services.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to perform manual and automated testing across Lending applications
• Contribute to building and maintaining test automation across critical business domains
• Participate in planning, triage, and prioritization of testing activities
• Write and execute test cases for functional, regression, and API testing
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Actively contribute to a collaborative, quality-focused culture within the team

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation
• Working knowledge of C# and Python
• 1+ years of experience with SQL
• 1+ years of experience testing RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with AI assistive and agentic code generation (e.g. Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience working in banking, finance, crypto, or fintech is helpful but not required

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
