Job summary

MagicCube in Santa Clara, CA seeks a QA Engineer to create tests, analyze bugs, and document results for the software development team. You will reproduce issues with developers, drive regressions, and help improve user experience across mobile and backend services.

You will perform Load, Soak, and Performance testing, work with Postman, cucumber, Mocha, and Python-based automation on Linux, with attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Create tests to identify software problems.
• Analyze bugs and errors found during tests and in partner systems.
• Document results of tests for the software development team.
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
• Work together with software developers to reproduce problems and give them a hard time over regressions encountered.
• Conduct Load, Soak, and Performance testing.
• Keep DevOps team updated with release notes, known issues, and new Runbooks.
• Experience in software development lifecycle and testing.
• Experience with Python, XML, Bash, Java.
• Experienced in test tools, including: Postman, cucumber, and Mocha, among others.
• Proficient in test automation.
• Good knowledge of Linux OS and tools.
• Excellent experience testing end-to-end systems running on mobile devices with backend services.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Likes to break things.
