Job summary

Numerator is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to improve the quality and efficiency of the UAMC platform through both automated and manual testing. You will validate requirements, build automated coverage, and support high‑quality releases within an Agile environment.

In this role you will design and maintain test scripts, execute functional testing, and collaborate across Product, Business Analysis and Engineering teams to ensure clear acceptance criteria and robust regression coverage.

Automation Test Engineer – UAMC / Identity & Access Management

Role Purpose

The Automation Test Engineer is responsible for improving the quality, reliability and efficiency of the UAMC platform through a combination of test automation and hands‑on functional testing. The role works closely with Product, Business Analysis and Engineering teams to validate requirements, build and maintain automated test coverage, execute functional testing where needed, manage defects and support high‑quality releases within an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyses business and functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity, completeness and testability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify gaps and support successful delivery outcomes.
• Design, develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts and frameworks to provide efficient and reliable regression coverage.
• Perform hands‑on functional, regression and exploratory testing to validate new features, enhancements and defect fixes where automation is not suitable or additional coverage is required.
• Prepare and manage test data to support a wide range of business and system scenarios.
• Record, triage and manage defects with clear supporting evidence, including reproduction steps, expected results and actual results.
• Support continuous integration and release readiness activities by ensuring automated and manual test coverage is aligned with delivery priorities.
• Deliver QA activities within sprint plans, contributing to sprint goals and overall delivery milestones.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and provide clear, timely updates on testing progress, risks and quality outcomes.

Core Competencies

• Understanding of the core technology stack and application architecture supporting the UAMC platform.
• Strong test automation capability within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional Agile delivery environment.
• Experience designing, maintaining and executing automated test scripts and frameworks.

Technical Skills and Tools

• Testing of web applications, APIs and back‑end services.
• SQL querying for back‑end data validation and investigation.
• Azure DevOps or similar tools for test management, defect tracking and traceability.
• Postman or equivalent tools for API testing.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using AI‑enabled tools or frameworks to support testing activities.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation practices within modern delivery environments.
• Experience in market research, identity management or data‑driven product environments.
