Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to develop, evaluate, revise, and apply QA protocols for in-process materials, equipment, and finished products. You will ensure compliance with GMP/ISO standards, analyze inspection data, and recommend corrective actions.

The role involves documenting inspection records and supporting manufacturing quality systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, LMS training,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; LMS training completed.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply QA protocols for in-process materials and finished products.
  • Inspect manufacturing equipment and perform testing as required.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards and document results.
  • Analyze inspection data and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain inspection records and support quality systems.

Summary

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Required Certifications and Training: Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.

Experience Level with Business Tools: Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

LEVEL DESCRIPTION

Environment and Physical Requirements
  • light work that will occasionally (1-33%) require employee to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally (1-33%)
  • Reaching _above and below the shoulder _ occasionally (1-33%)
  • Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools occasionally (1-33%)
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
  • Travel up to 10% if necessary.
