Job summary

Centraprise in the Dallas area seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to lead Cypress E2E suites, refactor spec suites for React apps, and migrate tests from Jest to Vitest.

You will set up accessibility tests with axe-core, monitor Lighthouse CI, test OAuth2/OIDC flows with ForgeRock, and ensure zero critical violations. HIPAA awareness a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven Cypress E2E experience building and maintaining tests.
• Ability to refactor React application test suites.
• Experience migrating tests from Jest to Vitest.
• Experience with accessibility testing and WCAG 2.1 AA validation.

Responsibilities

• Author, maintain, and refactor Cypress E2E specs for React apps.
• Migrate unit tests from Jest to Vitest while preserving coverage.
• Write Cypress specs for authentication, navigation, access control, and multi-step flows.
• Run axe-core accessibility audits and enforce zero critical/high violations.
• Set up Lighthouse CI and monitor performance scores.
• Test OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows including MFA and login journeys.
• Validate identity flows with ForgeRock or similar platform.
• Defect filing with clear reproduction steps and verification.

• Strong Cypress E2E experience: authoring, maintaining, and
• refactoring spec suites for React applications
• or TypeScript for test code
• Automated accessibility testing with axe-core and manual WCAG 2.1 AA validation;
• Lighthouse CI or Web Vitals monitoring
• with clear reproduction steps and severity classification
• Experience testing OAuth2 / OIDC authentication flows — token lifecycle,
• session handling, MFA, and logout scenarios
• Familiarity with ForgeRock or a comparable identity platform: testing login journeys,
• password reset, and identity verification flows
• Audit the existing Cypress E2E and unit test suites; categorize and
• prioritize migration work; deliver a written plan early in the engagement
• Migrate unit tests from Jest to Vitest; maintain existing coverage
• Write Cypress specs for each delivered surface: authentication flow,
• navigation shell, role-based access, keyboard accessibility, data table interactions,
• and multi-step wizard flows
• Test ForgeRock journey flows end-to-end: login, MFA, email and phone validation,
• password update, session expiry, and logout
• Run automated accessibility audits on every major route using axe-core;
• enforce zero critical or high violations as a sprint exit criterion
• Set up and track Lighthouse CI performance and accessibility scores
• across the engagement
• File and track defects with clear reproduction steps; verify fixes before closing

• Experience migrating from Create React App to Vite or removing styled-components from a large codebase
• Cypress or other E2E test authoring alongside feature development
• Healthcare or regulated industry background (HIPAA awareness a plus)
