Job summary

SQA Solution in California, South San Francisco is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with strong Tricentis Tosca expertise to drive automation strategy and execution across integrated, non-validated, and validated QA environments.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on automation with the ability to define automation strategy, lead testing efforts, and provide technical direction across system, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing, including API testing.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca — required.
• Experience designing and implementing test automation strategies.
• Previous experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, Automation Lead, or similar leadership role
• Ability to lead automation initiatives and provide technical guidance to QA/testing teams.
• Strong experience with system, integration, regression, and E2E testing.
• Experience working in validated/regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of formal test planning, execution, documentation, and review processes.
• Experience with API testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall test automation strategy, including automation approach, framework, coverage, and execution.
• Lead QA automation activities across multiple testing environments.
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scenarios using Tosca.
• Provide technical leadership and best practices for automation testing.
• Perform integration and API testing using Postman and automated API testing frameworks such as REST Assured.
• Perform system-level and E2E automated testing.
• Develop comprehensive system and E2E test plans.
• Lead and participate in formal and informal test plan reviews.
• Develop, update, and maintain test automation scripts.
• Plan and execute automated regression testing.
• Define automation coverage and identify opportunities to increase testing efficiency.
• Participate in formal test execution reviews within validated QA environments.
• Manage automation code and lifecycle activities using GitLab.
• Work closely with development, QA, validation, and business teams to ensure appropriate test coverage and quality.
