Job summary

Northern Base in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced API Automation Lead to steer end-to-end API test automation efforts. You will design and implement scalable automation strategies, mentor QA engineers, and ensure fast, high-quality releases.

In this role, you will leverage Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, Selenium, and related tools to validate APIs, authentication, and backend data, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in API testing/automation.
• Strong expertise in testing APIs, validating request/response payloads, authentication, integrations, and backend data using SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end API Test Automation initiatives using tools/frameworks such as Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks.
• Strong experience in testing APIs, validating request/response payloads, authentication mechanisms, integrations, and backend data using SQL.
• Ability to define automation strategy, develop reusable automation frameworks, review test scripts, and drive automation coverage across Agile releases.
• Hands-on experience with defect management, test planning, JIRA tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication across business and technology teams.
• Proven leadership experience managing QA teams, mentoring automation engineers, estimating testing efforts, and ensuring quality deliverables in a fast-paced Agile environment.
