Job summary

Urban Ridge Supplies is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. You will design and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs, leveraging Cypress or Playwright to cover end-to-end, integration, and regression testing.

You will implement API testing with tools like Supertest or Postman and contribute to CI/CD pipeline validation. You will read backend code, create robust test coverage, and translate repetitive manual tests into reliable automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automated testing with JS/TS.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience with API testing frameworks such as Supertest or Postman.
• Ability to read and navigate backend codebases for testing purposes.
• Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
• Build and execute end-to-end, integration, and regression test cases using Cypress or Playwright.
• Perform API-level testing using tools such as Supertest, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand workflows and testing requirements.
• Read, analyze, and navigate backend codebases to create effective test coverage.
• Identify repetitive manual testing tasks and convert them into automation scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure deployment validation.
• Monitor test execution results, troubleshoot failures, and maintain testing stability.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.
• Document test plans, test cases, and automation workflows.
