Job summary

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer / Enterprise ETL Tester to support the EQSS contract. You will verify and validate software and data workflows across IV&V activities, develop SQL tests, and build Python automation within AWS-based data lake/warehouse environments.

Responsibilities include data validation across XML/JSON formats, CI/CD integration, and clear technical documentation for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in software QA, test automation, and data engineering.
• Strong proficiency with XML, JSON, CSV, delimited, and fixed width data formats.
• Skilled in SQL and experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Iceberg databases.
• Practical experience with Python for scripting and automation.
• Hands on experience with CI/CD automated deployment pipelines using Git.
• Hands on experience working within AWS environments, Redshift, Glue and S3.
• Proficiency in Linux, command line operations, and GitHub repositories.

QA Automation Engineer / Enterprise ETL Tester

ROLE We need an experienced QA Automation Engineer at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This role supports the SEC’s Enterprise Qualitative Support Services (EQSS) contract, providing independent verification and validation across the agency’s growing cloud and data analytics environment. In this role, you will perform system analysis, verification, and validation across software and data workflows supporting IV&V activities, conduct software QA and defect evaluation, process and validate structured and semi-structured data including XML, JSON, and fixed width formats, develop SQL scripts and tests for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Iceberg environments, build automation and validation scripts using Python, and support data warehousing and data lake testing activities within AWS using Redshift, Glue, and S3. REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

LOCATION

• Remote – Based in National Capital Region
