Job summary

Northern Base seeks an automation/test engineer to design, implement, and maintain AI-enhanced test automation across web, API, and UI layers. You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners to ensure high-quality releases.

The role requires hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, UiPath, and API testing tools, plus strong CI/CD and AI-driven testing practices. Local candidates in Dallas, TX are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with at least one of the listed tools.
• Experience in automation framework design and maintenance.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration and automated test execution.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging AI capabilities to optimize testing processes and increase automation coverage.
• Utilize AI-assisted code analysis to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential quality risks.
• Validate AI-generated test artifacts to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Test Plan and Test Strategy and compile reports such as Test Execution and Release Readiness Reports.
• Create and maintain reusable automation assets and documentation.
• Analyze requirements to prepare detailed test scenarios and data.
• Perform Functional, System Integration, Regression, Smoke, and UAT testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or UiPath.
• Conduct API testing using Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI or equivalent.
• Use AI tools to accelerate test design, data generation, and script development.
• Apply AI-driven techniques for defect triaging, RCA, and impact assessment.
• Validate AI-generated artifacts for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with developers to leverage AI in SDLC and QA processes.

• Identify, log, track, and validate defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and quality assurance activities.
• Support release validation, production testing, and root cause analysis activities.
• Continuously improving testing efficiency through automation and AI-assisted testing practices.
