Job summary

PRIME Division within S&S Activewear is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist for returns and outgoing inspections in our Bridgeport warehouse. You will verify items, colors, imprint positions, and document results while supporting cross-training and accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and some QA/inspection experience, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some experience in quality/inspections preferred.
• Ability to inspect product accurately and provide effective analysis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect outgoing and returned merchandise for quality per layouts and AQL.
• Complete inspection forms and update records accurately.
• Identify defects and ensure imprint positions and colors match Final Layouts.
• Maintain high accuracy and work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will focus on Quality Assurance for returns and outgoing orders. The individual needs to be flexible to changing needs of our growing company. Cross training, computer skills and time management skills are essential.

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday (1:45pm - 10:15pm), full-time, non-exempt

WHAT YOU WILL DO

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OUTGOING INSPECTIONS:

• Verify the item and color is the same as the item and color on the Final Layout
• The imprint is located in the same position as the Final Layout
• The imprint is straight, clear, legible
• The imprint color matches the Final Layout color listed and PMS Book if applicable

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RETURNS INSPECTIONS:

• Perform initial inspection of inventory and sample product according to AQL
• Complete inspection forms
• Identify any/all defective product issues with returned merchandiseVerify the item and color is the same as the item and color on the Final Layout
• The imprint is located in the same position as the Final Layout
• The imprint is straight, clear, legible
• All other tasks assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
• Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines.
• Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
