Job summary

Finastra is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help our engineering team improve solution quality through automation testing. You will automate tests, maintain frameworks, and design robust regression suites for AI solutions, APIs, and integrations.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright, knowledge of QA methodologies, and the ability to work independently or with teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Selenium and Playwright for automation testing.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment on multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques including the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

What will you contribute? We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer, skilled in automation testing, to assist the engineering team in improving solution quality.

Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • QA all aspects of the AI solutions
  • Maintains and enhances automation frameworks
  • Designs, implements and maintains automation regression using different frameworks and follow best-practices and automation QA methodologies
  • Builds test automation assets
  • Hands on writing and execution of automated scripts including testing APIs and integration services
  • Participates in regression testing of features and functionalities as required
  • Validation of application to assess functionality, usability and stability
  • Tracks defects from detection to resolution in tracking system and works with developers to reproduce and resolve defects
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques including the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think 'out of the box' for process improvements.
  • Ability to work with specialized software tools; effectively implement and evaluate new processes or plans.
  • Ability to execute test plans and test scripts for commercial software applications, document expected results vs. actual results, and record software defects.
Preferred Knowledge
  • Preferred knowledge of automated testing software tools with ability to design and develop automated testing programs.
