GEOGRAPHIC SOLUTIONS INC in Palm Harbor, FL is seeking a Software Tester to join our quality assurance team in a hybrid role. You will thoroughly test software, document defects, and report progress to management, ensuring products meet end-user requirements.

Under limited supervision, you will create test cases, run tests across multiple projects, and assist development with release notes. Candidates should have strong analytical and communication skills, and a solid understanding of testing

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum company standards and end user requirements. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and recommends quality improvements.

THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION. CANDIDATE MUST COME TO WORK AT CORPORATE OFFICE IN PALM HARBOR, FL. 3 DAYS A WEEK.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test all software releases from development department.
• Ability to test multiple software projects concurrently.
• Document and track all software defects.
• Create Test Cases and Test Scripts.
• Evaluation and assignment of all trouble tickets to development team members.
• Review and assist development in the creation of Release Notes.
• Depending on project size, may be required to be on multiple Team/Projects.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Conduct to reflect professional attitude and actions.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Work Experience / Knowledge:

• Ability to become familiar with testing tools.
• Proficient in functionality of assigned projects and PC skills.
• Ability to use analytical skills while doing test project planning and executing those test projects.
• Sufficient application knowledge to navigate and perform basic functionality of a single software application.
• Ability to seek appropriate resources or mentors on projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, which are used with team members and clients in the form of formal training, mentoring, and presentations.
• Work with developers and DBAs on test projects.
• Utilization of defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Quality Center, etc).

Qualifications / Certifications:

• Associate’s degree
• 5 years of Software testing experience
• Or, Equivalent combination of education and experience
