Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new applications, enhancements, upgrades, configuration changes, integrations, and production fixes
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across core banking, lending and deposit origination, online banking, reporting, and other banking systems
  • Validate system functionality, business rules, workflows, interfaces, and data accuracy against defined requirements
  • Identify, prioritize, and track software defects and testing issues through resolution and retesting
  • Collaborate with business units, technology teams, product owners, developers, and third-party vendors to ensure appropriate test coverage
  • Perform regression testing to confirm changes do not impact existing functionality or downstream processes
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), software releases, upgrades, and implementations, including validation of production readiness
  • Maintain testing documentation and provide clear communication regarding testing status, defects, risks, and overall quality/readiness prior to release

Job description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Perform quality assurance testing across a broad range of banking applications, including core banking systems, reporting and analytics dashboards, lending and deposit origination systems, online and mobile banking platforms, integrations, and other banking-related software. Develop and execute test scenarios, validate functionality and data accuracy, identify and document defects, perform regression and end-to-end testing, and work with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure system changes, enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations meet defined requirements and operate reliably before production release.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Quality Assurance Testing
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new applications, enhancements, upgrades, configuration changes, integrations, and production fixes.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across core banking, lending and deposit origination, online/mobile banking, reporting, and other banking systems.
  • Validate system functionality, business rules, workflows, interfaces, and data accuracy against defined business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, prioritize, and track software defects and testing issues through resolution and retesting.
  • Collaborate with business units, technology teams, product owners, developers, and third-party vendors to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure appropriate test coverage.
  • Perform regression testing to confirm system changes do not negatively impact existing functionality or downstream banking processes.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), software releases, upgrades, and implementations, including validation of production readiness.
  • Maintain testing documentation and provide clear communication regarding testing status, defects, risks, and overall quality/readiness of systems prior to release.
Compliance (this section is the same for all Bank Team Members)
  • Review the Bank’s information security guidelines regularly and avoid activity that could expose the Bank to malware, scams, and fraud. Follow all guidelines for securing your accounts, access, systems, and information. Be proactive in identifying threats to information security and relay concerns to the information security team.
  • Diligently protect confidential information and assist the Bank in ensuring that all confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately.
  • Maintain an active awareness and understanding of policies, procedures, designated authorities, regulations, and laws, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Red Flags, Consumer Privacy, Fair Lending, other applicable lending laws, etc. Follow these at all times.
  • Communicate openly with supervisors and other management about policies, procedures, work conduct, and job functions. Ask questions to clarify any uncertainty when issues arise.
  • Address with your supervisor questions about suspected violations of policy and procedure, and other laws and guidelines, as outlined in the Code of Conduct, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, lending laws, etc.
  • Participate in training sessions and policy updates as necessary. Assist with coordination of scheduling as appropriate.

  • Ability to evaluate software from both a system-processing and business-user perspective, ensuring functionality aligns with operational requirements and expected user behavior
  • Experience testing or supporting core banking, lending, deposit origination, online banking, reporting, or other financial services applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify processing issues, data discrepancies, workflow gaps, and unintended system behavior
  • Ability to understand upstream and downstream impacts when changes are made across interconnected banking systems and processes
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively with bank employees, technology teams, product owners, and third-party vendors
