Job summary

OneOcean is seeking a Development Team Leader (Python) to guide a skilled software team. You will drive engineering excellence, mentor engineers, and ensure high‑quality, scalable delivery across microservices, GraphQL, REST APIs and cloud deployments.

You will collaborate with Architects, Product Owners and other Team Leaders to align technical direction with business goals, improve CI/CD workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience leading Scrum teams and Agile practices.
• Strong Python and OO programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Python developers, ensuring alignment on goals, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Mentor and coach team members to support technical and professional growth.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and testing.
• Plan and manage team capacity, sprints, and milestones for predictable delivery.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Architects, and Product Owners to align engineering with business objectives.
• Ensure adoption of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the team.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and development processes.
• Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
