Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a senior Python Software Engineer for a temporary-to-perm role. You will design cloud‑native systems powering automation and decision‑making, building APIs, Azure Functions, and event‑driven services.

You will collaborate across teams, implement scalable data access, and apply best practices in testing, CI/CD, and cloud security while leveraging AI/ML tools and LangChain or similar frameworks.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of professional software development experience in backend or full‑stack engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, with strong knowledge of object‑oriented and functional programming principles.
• Hands‑on experience developing and deploying Azure Functions, APIs, and event‑driven systems.
• Experience integrating with databases and designing data interaction layers for performance and scalability.
• Solid understanding of microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Azure SDKs, Azure Cognitive Services, and cloud security best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; thrives in agile, iterative development environments.
• Practical exposure to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and orchestration tools like LangChain, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.

Responsibilities

Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $70‑$90 per hour. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with annual discretionary contributions when eligibility requirements are met. Employees also receive paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy‑two (72) hours of sick time prorated for part‑time employees, ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
