We are looking for a skilled Python Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable web applications using Python, SQL, and Angular. Candidate will be responsible for developing backend services, designing user-facing features, integrating APIs, optimizing database performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Build robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database schemas.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Integrate third-party services and internal systems through APIs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and database structures.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud-based environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with at least one Python web framework: Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience developing applications with Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git and version-control workflows.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
