Job summary

Trexquant is seeking a Python Engineer to join our Stamford/New York City offices. You will help ensure the smooth operation and performance of our trading systems and infrastructure as we scale, with emphasis on monitoring, incident response, and reliability.

You will design and drive continual improvements to the trading platform using Python, support new trade functionality, monitor systems, and pursue automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services.
• Strong proficiency with Linux systems and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive continual improvement of the trading platform using Python.
• Support implementation of new trade functionality such as new asset classes or prime brokers.
• Monitor trading systems and infrastructure components for performance and reliability.
• Identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Leverage automation tools to improve workflows and operations.
• Respond to alerts, investigate root causes, and prevent recurrence.
