Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Python backend development.
• Experience applying AI enablement (AI-assisted coding) to software.
• Cloud experience with modern platforms; Azure DevOps preferred.
• Strong CI/CD discipline and automated testing practices.
• Experience building software for ecommerce environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support backend systems in Python.

As a Python Engineer at Experient, you will join a collaborative, cross-functional technology pod to deliver modern, AI-enabled solutions that solve complex business challenges and create measurable business value for our clients. You will work with developers, technical analysts and product leaders to help the client transform the way they build and leverages their technology solutions.

In this role, you will partner closely with clients and your delivery team to translate business needs into scalable technical designs and high-quality, production-ready applications. Leveraging Python and modern engineering practices, you will build solutions that integrate AI capabilities, accelerate innovation, and enable smarter decision-making. Location: Hybrid - Atlanta, GA - 3 days a week onsite in the Dunwoody area

What You'll Do

• Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting systems to automate business functions.
• Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
• Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
• Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure application SLAs are met by employing appropriate monitoring and alerting tools as required by each supported application.
• Assist with the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
• Create new features or parts of applications with the end user in mind, providing the best experience.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years of hands-on Python backend development
• AI enablement (using AI to write code) experience
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure DevOps (ADO)
• CI/CD experience
• Possess a level of ownership, initiative, urgency, and work autonomously to get things done.
• Experience developing software in an ecommerce environment.
