Job summary

DTCC is seeking two Python Developers to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services. The roles require building RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and integrating with multiple systems on a local basis.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 4-6 years of Python experience, with strong knowledge of libraries, patterns, and agile practices. Must be USC/GC and able to work on-site in Jersey City and other listed locations.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and services.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of data pipelines, automation frameworks, and integration solutions.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by developing data processing components and integrating machine learning services into business applications.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices to improve software quality and deployment efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.
• Support application monitoring, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 6 years of hands-on software development experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of Python libraries, frameworks, and development best practices.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party platforms.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and scalable application architecture.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
