Job summary

ICF is seeking a software developer to join a skilled team focused on machine learning cyber defense for resource-constrained platforms such as UAV/UGV in tactical environments. The role emphasizes developing cyber defenses, supporting physical and network simulations, and evaluating resilience platforms in simulated scenarios and field tests.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a relevant field, DoD eligibility and the ability to obtain/maintain the required DoD clearance, and practical experience

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to maintain DoD clearance.
• Must be DoD 8570 compliant with IAT I appointment certifications.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Information Science, Cyber Security, or Mathematics.
• Six years of research or technical experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using DevOps practices within a team of scientists, software developers, and hardware engineers.
• Develop scenarios using 3D simulation/visualization engines such as Unreal Engine or similar to support dynamic evaluation of platform resilience.
• Documenting and publishing the results of tests in technical reports.
• Delivering progress updates, insights, and deliverables in technical briefings and demonstrations.
• Working in a multi-team development project.
