An innovative firm is seeking a skilled Python Developer to play a key role in the development and maintenance of trading and risk management systems. Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Employment Type: W2 Only – No C2C or 1099 Candidates
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong experience in Capital Markets/Global Markets and hands-on expertise with the Quartz framework. The ideal candidate will work on-site in Jersey City, NJ for 3 days a week and remotely for 2 days. You will be involved in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of systems used in trading and risk management functions.
Strong Python programming experience
Deep understanding of Capital Markets or Global Markets domain
Hands-on experience with Quartz (Bank of America’s proprietary platform preferred)
Experience in designing and developing high-performance, robust, and scalable applications
Proficiency with SQL and data processing
Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Develop and maintain applications and services using Python
Collaborate with traders, business analysts, and quants to implement functional requirements
Work within the Quartz framework to integrate new features and support existing modules
Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Maintain technical documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies
Experience working with large financial institutions
Knowledge of front-office trading systems
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
