Job summary

mthree is seeking an intermediate-level Python Developer in Data Engineering to design, build, and maintain scalable datapipelines for a major client in the United States. You’ll extract, transform, and load data, ensuring quality and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python with OOP principles.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with data libraries (Django, Flask, NumPy, Pandas).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of ETL tools (Airflow, Kafka).
• Experience with orchestration tools and cloud platforms (Ansible, Terraform/Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, GitHub).
• Hands-on Linux experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug to identify root cause.

Software & Data pipeline Development

• Designing, developing, and implementing software applications, scalable data pipelines using Python and related technologies.
• Optimize data workflows to handle large datasets efficiently.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets industry standards.
• Developing and managing databases and applications.
• Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Data Structures and Algorithms: Familiarity with common data structures and algorithms and corresponding usage in practical solutions.
• Data: Experience with data libraries(e.g., Django, Flask, NumPy, Pandas).
• Familiarity with(e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with data storage technologies (e.g., data lakes, distributed file systems).
• Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka).
• Experience with orchestration tools & cloud computing platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform/Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD frameworks and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Github)
• Hands on experience with Linux
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and debug to identify root cause.
• Demonstrate ability to think outside of the box.
• Experience: 1-4 years of experience in software development with a focus on Python & data

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The base pay rate for this position is $85,000- $100,000 USD.

This pay rate represents mthree’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the mthree client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
