Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is helping a heavily funded deep-tech software company hire a Python Engineer to build production backend and data infrastructure. The role centers on owning and evolving complex Python backend systems, scalable APIs, and data pipelines.

Ideal candidates will have shipped and operated large-scale production systems, with strong backend and data-systems fundamentals. Remote flexibility is available for US candidates.

Our client — a heavily funded deep-tech software company — is hiring a Python Engineer to build production backend and data infrastructure.

They’re looking for engineers who are genuinely strong in Python and have personally designed, shipped and operated complex production systems at scale.

The role:

• Build and own production Python backend systems end-to-end
• Design scalable APIs, services, data models and system boundaries
• Build complex data ingestion and orchestration pipelines
• Work across distributed systems, queues, state management and cloud infrastructure
• Solve challenging problems around scale, reliability, consistency and failure handling
• Own architecture and implementation decisions through to production
