We are looking for an experienced Python and Django Developer to join our team of passionate developers. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, taking part in the full software delivery lifecycle—from understanding client needs and shaping an appropriate solution through implementation, testing, and deployment to production. Depending on the project, you may work directly with clients and collaborate with Python developers, frontend engineers, and DevOps specialists. You may also take a leading role in a project or support delivery at specific stages. This position offers the opportunity to work with a modern backend stack, contribute to research and commercial initiatives, and help develop dependable services using established software engineering practices.
You have at least three years of professional experience programming in Python and working with Django, along with a good understanding of REST API development and Docker. You are familiar with software development best practices, including design patterns, code review, and functional, unit, and regression testing. We are looking for someone with strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, as well as creativity and clear communication. A good command of English is required for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues. The ability to work well in a team and a willingness to continually develop your skills will help you thrive in this role. Our technology environment includes Django 5, FastAPI, Celery, MySQL, and Dgraph. We use Docker with Makefile and Bash, MinIO for storage, and Kafka integrations connecting MinIO, Celery, and MySQL. Our infrastructure includes AWS EC2, basic server management via SSH, and Kubernetes on AWS. A separate team manages TeamCity and JFrog for build and artifact storage. Experience with these tools is valuable, and we welcome developers who are keen to learn and contribute across the stack.
Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and Django-based services. Work with colleagues and clients to clarify requirements, assess technical options, and deliver solutions suited to project goals. Build and maintain REST APIs, integrate services and data stores, and contribute to containerized application workflows. Participate in code reviews and testing, address technical issues, and support reliable releases to production. Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and other backend engineers, sharing knowledge and helping projects progress through each delivery phase. Depending on your experience and project needs, lead delivery activities or provide focused support to the wider team.
The B2B compensation range is PLN 22,000–27,000 plus VAT. You will work with modern technologies in machine learning and software development and have an annual budget for self-development. Stermedia offers varied projects, internal workshops, and opportunities to build your personal brand through articles, conference presentations, or leading internal workshops. Enjoy flexible working hours, remote work options, a friendly atmosphere, company and team events, a chillout room, and complimentary beverages. Benefits also include MultiSport and Lux Med.
Stermedia is committed to providing a respectful and inclusive working environment. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and evaluate candidates based on their skills, qualifications, and potential to contribute to the role and team.
