Pyramid Consulting, Inc is seeking a Python Developer for an 11+ month contract in Jersey City, NJ, with a hybrid work setup for a leading banking client.

You will develop Python-based server-side solutions, design complex components for financial systems, and work closely with stakeholders to interpret requirements. You may also contribute Java work as needed; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of strong Python development experience; Java experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience designing and building complex server-side components.
• Background in Financial Services, ideally in markets, front-office derivatives risk systems, pre-trade/origination, or post-trade management systems.
• CS degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Lean software practices and related tooling.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, prioritize and resolve issues independently.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain problems and solutions clearly.

Requirements
