Job Summary

Hexaware Technology is seeking an experienced Python Consultant with expertise in Agentic AI, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support its client, Citibank, in Irving, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills and practical experience designing and implementing AI-powered agents, intelligent automation workflows, and LLM-based applications. The consultant will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to develop secure, scalable, and reliable AI solutions for enterprise banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services.
• Build and implement Agentic AI solutions capable of reasoning, planning, tool usage, and multi-step task execution.
• Develop AI agents and orchestrated workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent technologies.
• Integrate LLMs with enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and internal knowledge sources.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for enterprise knowledge retrieval and contextual responses.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
• Implement agent tool calling, workflow orchestration, memory management, state handling, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Apply prompt engineering, structured output generation, and AI evaluation techniques to improve response quality.
• Implement security, access controls, audit logging, data privacy, and guardrails suitable for enterprise banking applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and support deployment and production operations.
• Follow enterprise software development standards, code review practices, testing procedures, and CI/CD processes.

Required Technical Skills

Python Development

• Strong hands-on experience with Python programming, object-oriented design, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, and unit testing.

Agentic AI and Generative AI

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, function/tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent agent frameworks.
• Understanding of multi-agent orchestration, state management, memory, and workflow execution.

RAG and Enterprise AI

• Experience building RAG solutions, embeddings, document processing, and semantic search.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of retrieval optimization, grounding, hallucination mitigation, and AI response evaluation.

Cloud, DevOps, and Deployment

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and production deployments.
• Understanding of API integration, secrets management, and secure application architecture.

Security and Quality

• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and secure API integrations.
• Understanding of responsible AI, prompt injection risks, data protection, and auditability.
• Strong debugging, testing, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering Agentic AI solutions in enterprise or financial services environments.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and integrations with external tools.
• Experience with LLM observability, tracing, and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Knowledge of banking workflows, enterprise risk controls, and regulated application environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
