Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable software applications and services. The role requires experience with Python and Java, REST APIs, microservices, relational and NoSQL databases, modern web technologies, cloud platforms, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD.

You will collaborate with product, business, quality, and data teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with Spring Boot or a comparable application framework.
• Familiarity with one relational database and one NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, software testing, Agile delivery, and the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, and modular or microservice-based applications using Python and/or Java.
• Build and enhance web application capabilities using JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and supporting server-side technologies.
• Design data access layers and integrations for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, defensive validation, and appropriate error handling.
• Create unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, defect resolution, release readiness, and production support.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines across cloud or Linux environments.
• Use Git, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Jira to support development, documentation, testing, and delivery tracking.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and communicate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, dependencies, and progress.
