Johns Manville, based in Denver, CO, is seeking a PVC Product Manager to lead strategy for the PVC line and drive profitability. You will work with SIOP, pricing, and sales to align product plans and lifecycle management while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range $107,300.00-$147,500.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The PVC Product Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategy for the PVC product line including coordination with other Product Managers and cross-functional teams to drive a cohesive roofing systems strategy. The PVC Product Manager is responsible for overall profitability through daily product line management, including collaboration with SIOP, price, cost, inventory, product lifecycle, and support of account management and sales activities.
This position is based out of Denver, CO but we do have a flexible work arrangement which, by way of example, an employee's work week may include both some days at the employee's assigned company work location and some workdays performed remotely from the employee's home. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management. Currently, this position requires work at the Denver, CO and is not fully remote.
Use tool sets to evaluate and systematically rebalance portfolio through identification of cost, SKU reduction opportunities, new product requirements and profitability optimization. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations to business leadership on product lines and projects. Work with pricing and sales to set target contribution margins and price strategy based on supply/demand dynamics and competitive data. Work with sales, operations and supply chain to establish the proper SIOP balance internal operation metrics and external customer expectations. Provide 3-24 month forecasts, and review and modify 0-3 month sales forecasts to achieve business goals. Develop and support Value Propositions for products and systems and educate customers, sales, and customer service teams on options and customer value. Coordinate all aspects of sales support for the given product line including the development of selling tools and strategies to meet objectives for product line and market segment profitability. Responsible for updating product technical data sheets, finished product specifications, and other product and marketing literature Work with technical, legal, and code management resources to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations, as well as requisite specifications and codes (FM, UL, ASTM, etc.) Work with supply chain, legal, and operations on issues such as supply contracts, trademarks and patents, and ensures product labels comply with government regulations and corporate policies Work with cross-functional team members (Operations, Engineering, Finance, etc) on annual cost take out initiatives to insure there are clear plans for implementation and execution to improve product profitability Define customer expectations on product quality. Ensure compliance with all finished product specifications. Identify and understand any product quality issues and opportunities. Identify product gaps, new product, and market opportunities, and drive JM-Gate implementation and lead commercialization efforts. Develop strategic and operational plans for assigned products to include growth plans, competitive product analysis, product profitability, industry trends, and regulation changes, as well as competitive intelligence May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree 5 or more years’ experience in technical, technical sales, and marketing roles related to commercial construction or building products Demonstrated use and comfort with marketing and product management tools such as inventory management, segmentation, and targeting, quality functional deployment, value chain analysis, value proposition development, or other tools Strong presentation skills (Solid) Expert analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects Thorough technical knowledge to understand product attributes, manufacturing processes, product technology, etc. Proven ability to develop and manage commercial product strategies with strong customer focus Demonstrated leadership skills Strong project management skills Medium travel required (30-50%) Work environment is typical of an office setting.
