Job summary

Zekelman Industries – Maverick Pipe in Richmond, KY is seeking a PVC Extrusion Machine Operator. You will set up, operate, monitor, and maintain extrusion equipment for PVC profiles and tubing in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English clearly.
• Proficient with measuring tools (tape, micrometers, calipers).
• Able to operate forklifts, cranes and related equipment.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules when operating equipment.
• Perform advanced setup and calibration of extrusion equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality before, during, and after production.
• Record and report quality deficiencies to supervisor or QA.
• Maintain tooling and equipment needed for production.
• Diagnose equipment and quality issues to minimize scrap.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; perform housekeeping.
• Complete production, change-over, and scrap reports accurately.
• Assist maintenance with preventive repairs and tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and initiatives.
