NextEra Energy is seeking a PV Solar Field Technician at the Duane Arnold Solar site in Palo, IA. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of solar PV arrays, battery energy storage, and inverters across multiple plants to ensure safe, efficient power generation.

You will perform inspections, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, manage tools and inventory, and support teammates across the region.

PV Solar Field Technician Intermediate Level - Duane Arnold Solar: Cedar Rapids, IA

This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of the Duane Arnold Solar site in Palo, IA. The intended employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations.In this role, an employee will maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition, provide inspections of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic trouble shooting for a solar arrays and inverters.Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power.A candidate would be responsible for supporting teammates in nearby states in the region, and maintainting reliability, operations and maintenance for sites assigned area
